I’ve had this on my dash for ages, but haven’t gotten around to responding as everything with school was so hectic!
Jacqueline from the lovely blog Polymnia Blues has nominated me for a Versatile Blogger Award, which I have to say is pretty awesome. Super thanks to her!http://calliopeespeaks88.wordpress.com/2013/08/14/versatile-blogger-award-2/
Here are the rules:
Display the Award Certificate on your blog.
Announce your win with a post.
Make sure you post a link back to me as a ‘thank you’ for the nomination.
Present 15 awards to 15 deserving bloggers.
Leave them a comment to let them know after you have linked them to a post.
Post seven interesting things about yourself.
So seven things about me:
1.) I skipped a grade while I was at school, so I graduated high school and started university when I was sweet 16.
2.) I have an immense fear of emus and ostriches, to the point that as a 12 year old visiting a wildlife park in Mandurah with family I burst into tears and hid behind my dad and then in the gift shop to avoid the freely roaming emus. Even at the Royal Show when they are in their pens in the convention halls, I take a wiiiiide berth.
3.) I am sport OBSESSED, in particular about basketball, the Chicago Bulls, Arsenal, football, AFL, basketball, the Perth Wildcats, rugby, the Springboks and basketball. Any mention in an article of Derrick Rose’s impending return from injury makes me tear up in equal parts pride and excitement. I spent Boxing Day the year of the lockout watching all five Christmas Games. from 1am to about 3pm the next day. It’s a healthy obsession, I promise.
4.) I own and love almost every one of Agatha Christie’s masterpieces however even though I have owned her last book (for Hercule Poirot) “Curtains: Poirot’s Last Case” for four years I am yet to read it, and don’t plan to until I have read everything else Dame Agatha has written because I don’t want it to end. Even though it’s not as if there will be any more, I just love them so much.
5.) In high school chemistry in year 11, alI learned that year was how to name the 50 states of the United States of America alphabetically and in under five minutes. Did I mention I do not live in the US?
6.) I can quote the following movies verbatim: Spiceworld, Alice In Wonderland, Dumbo, Clueless, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Bad Boys 2, Under The Tuscan Sun, Love (And Other Disasters), A Knight’s Tale.
7.) My first name is an Italian boy’s name, my last name is French, my grandpa is half Scottish, I have relatives in Portugal and Canada and none of those are the country in which I was born.
I nominate the following for the Versatile Blogger Award in no particular order:
Thanks again to Jacqueline from the Polymnia Blues and wondering if I can put this on my resume,
